Song Promo Video Generator

One song in, a month's worth of content

Upload your song once and Escalium's song promo video generator makes short promo videos from it. The lyrics appear on screen when they are sung, over a background you choose. Make one video for the hook, one for the chorus and one for the drop. That's weeks of posts for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.

  • Free to start
  • Lyrics timed for you
  • Several videos in one go

A song needs many videos, not one

On TikTok and Reels, a new post is first shown to a few people. If they watch it to the end, more people see it. So one video is one try. Ten videos are ten tries.

  • Each post is a new try

A video with few views doesn't mean your song is bad. Maybe it was the part you chose, the first second or the background. Post the song again with another part and another look, and new people see it.

  • You don't have to film every version

Filming a new clip for each post takes days. Here the video is made from your audio. You pick the part, Escalium writes and times the lyrics, and you pick a background from the library or your own footage.

  • People need to see the words

These apps don't let you post only audio, so your song needs a picture. With the lyrics on screen, people can follow a song they have never heard. They understand it even with the sound low.

Make a video from each part of your song

Listen to your song in pieces. Most songs have four or five parts that work as a short video on their own. Start with these.

  • Hook

The hook: the line people sing back

The line that gets stuck in your head. Start the video right on it, with no intro. That way the first second already sounds like your song.

Make it as: A 10 to 15 second video that loops

  • Chorus

The chorus, from start to end

Use the whole chorus when it tells a small story. People search for it after they hear the song, so the lyrics on screen matter most here.

Make it as: A 20 to 30 second lyric video

  • Verse

One strong line from a verse

Few artists use verses to promote a song. But one sharp or funny line can get more shares than the chorus. Pick the line you are proudest of.

Make it as: One word at a time, big in the middle

  • Drop

The drop or the beat switch

In electronic music, house or trap, the moment the beat hits is the hook. Start one or two seconds before it, so people hear the build-up.

Make it as: A clip with movement: cars, drone shots, a crowd

  • Bridge

The bridge or the quiet part

A slow, emotional part fits calm backgrounds: rain, a night drive, landscapes. It shows another side of the same song.

Make it as: A soft lyric style and a darker background

From your song to videos ready to post

It all happens in the Video Editor, in your browser, in five steps. Your song stays saved in your account. Come back any day and make more versions of it.

Want a full lyric video guide?
  1. Step 1

Upload the song and pick the part

Upload an MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A or OGG file, up to 50 MB. Drag the two handles on the sound wave to keep only the part you want. The free plan uses up to 30 seconds, Creator up to 1 minute, Artist and Label the whole song.

  2. Step 2

    Escalium writes the lyrics

Pick the song's language, or let Escalium find it. Escalium listens to the voice and writes the lyrics, with each word timed to the song. If a word is wrong, tap it and type the right one. Its timing stays the same.

  3. Step 3

    Check the timing

Play it back: each word appears when it is sung. If a fast verse is off, slow the song down. Then press the space bar on each word to set its time by hand.

  4. Step 4

    Pick backgrounds and a style

Pick one or more clips from the library, or upload your own. Then choose how the words move, the font, the colours and where the text sits. One click puts the same style on every video.

  5. Step 5

    Render and download

Each background you picked becomes its own video, with the same song and lyrics. The videos are vertical (9:16), the shape of TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Want to change more? Open any of them in the Advanced Video Editor.

Each background you pick is one more video

The background is what changes from one version to the next. You can take it from three places, and mix them in the same render.

  • The Escalium clip library

Over 300 clips in folders: cars, drone shots, galaxy, rain, motorbikes, parties, landscapes, black and white and more. Star the ones you like. They stay starred in the Advanced Video Editor too.

  • A short clip of yours

Upload a short video of yours (MP4, MOV or WebM): you singing, a studio session or your cover art moving.

  • A longer video of yours

Start from a video instead of a song, up to 2 GB. The video stays on your device. Only the sound of the part you pick is sent, to write the lyrics. Keep the video's sound, or mute it and put your song under it.

One month's worth of videos from one song

Say you pick four parts of your song and three backgrounds for each. That's 12 different videos: three a week for four weeks. Here is one way to use them around a release.

  • Week 1

Before the release: 3 hook videos

Three short videos of the hook, each with another background. Keep the full chorus for later. Send people to a pre-save page.

  • Week 2

    Release week: 3 chorus videos

The whole chorus as a lyric video, with three backgrounds. This is the part people search for after they hear the song somewhere.

  • Week 3

Next week: 3 videos of your best line

A line from a verse or the bridge, one word at a time. Look at which background got the most views so far, and use it again.

  • Week 4

Last week: 3 more of what worked

Take the part that did best and make new versions of it: another background, other colours, a shorter cut.

12 videos fit in the Creator plan (40 a month). On the free plan you get 5 a month, so start with the hook and the chorus.

Send every video to the same link
