Escalium Update: New Features & Fixes September 2026
All our Escalium Updates, Bugs Solved and New Products implemented in September 2026.
At Escalium, we are committed to building the most complete music marketing platform for independent artists, producers, managers, and labels.
Over the past weeks, our team has focused on resolving long-standing issues, rebuilding core features from the ground up, and introducing new tools designed to make promoting your music simpler, faster, and more effective.
This article walks through every major update made across the Escalium dashboard, including the Creative Studio, Landing Pages, Analytics and Overview, Campaigns, Community, Referrals, and Plan Management. We believe in transparency with our artists, so alongside every improvement, we also explain the problems that existed before and why these changes were necessary.

1. Creative Studio Updates
The Creative Studio, our tool for generating lyric videos, has received the most significant improvements of this release. Below is a breakdown of every change.
1.1 Audio File (.WAV) Support Fixed
Previously, the Creative Studio advertised support for .wav audio files, but uploads in this format consistently failed to process. This was a confirmed bug, and it has now been fully resolved. Artists and producers can upload .wav files with confidence that they will be processed correctly.
1.2 New Song Selection Limits by Plan
When selecting the portion of a song to use in a lyric video, users now encounter plan-based limits designed to align features with each subscription tier:
Free plan: up to 30 seconds of any selected song.
Creator plan: up to 1 minute of any selected song.
Artist and Label plans the full song, with no time restriction.

1.3 A Smarter, Easier Lyric Transcription Experience
Lyric transcription has been one of the most requested areas for improvement, and it has now been completely redesigned.
Previously, transcription was handled verse by verse. If the AI misheard or mistranscribed a word, correcting it required navigating to a separate rendering and synchronization page to manually re-sync the corrected lyrics with the audio timeline. This workflow was time-consuming and frustrating for many users.
We have addressed this directly by switching to a new transcription model and removing the synchronization page entirely.
Once a song is transcribed, every word now appears inside its own individual, editable box. These boxes are currently displayed in yellow, though the color may be updated in the future. If a word has been transcribed incorrectly, users can simply click into its box and correct it directly, without affecting the word's original timestamp. The correction is applied instantly, and the video's timing remains exactly as it was.
This change eliminates the need for manual re-synchronization and significantly reduces the time it takes to produce an accurate, polished lyric video.

1.4 New Style and Video Selection Limits
As with audio selection, video style limits are now tied to subscription plans:
Free plan: select and preview 1 video at a time.
Creator plan: select and preview up to 3 videos at a time.
Artist and Label plans: select and preview up to 5 videos at a time
1.5 Short-Clip Warning and Loop Functionality
If a selected background video is shorter than the selected song, users will now receive a warning message indicating that the video is shorter than the audio track. From this point, users can choose to loop the clip or select a different video. A "Don't show this again" option is also available for users who prefer not to see the warning repeatedly.
Later in the editing process, a dedicated "Loop Clip" button allows users to activate or deactivate this looping behavior at any time.
1.6 Editing and Rendering
The video editing interface itself remains unchanged and continues to function exactly as before. On the rendering side, no functional changes were made, but our team worked to optimize and speed up download times for finished videos.
2. Landing Pages: A Completely Redesigned Experience
Landing Pages, alongside the Creative Studio, received the most extensive improvements in this update. The entire creation process has been rebuilt from a single static form into a guided, step-by-step builder with a live preview.

You can check how a real page would look by clicking here.
2.1 Live Preview and Step-by-Step Creation
When creating a landing page, users now see a live, real-time preview on the right-hand side of the dashboard, displayed inside a phone simulation. This replaces the previous single-form experience with a clearer, guided process.
Step 1: Page Type
Users are now asked what type of page they need: a song, album, or playlist that is already released, or one that is coming soon. This distinction did not exist in the previous version of Escalium.

Step 2: Song Details and Artwork
Users enter the song or playlist name and upload the associated artwork, cover, or thumbnail. Artwork must be square
Step 3: Description
The description field remains functionally the same but has been visually redesigned. Previously, the background behind the description text used roughly 20 percent opacity (80 percent transparency), which made the text difficult to read. It has now been changed to 100 percent opacity for improved readability. This field remains optional.

Step 4: Streaming Links
Previously, landing pages only supported Spotify links. Escalium now also supports Apple Music and YouTube links. Users can copy and paste their song or playlist links directly into each platform's dedicated field. This step also introduces a fully redesigned interface focused on clarity and usability, while keeping page load times to a claimed maximum of approximately 20 milliseconds.
Step 5: Custom Button Titles and Descriptions (New)
This is an entirely new step that did not exist previously. Users can now customize the title and description of each streaming button individually.
For example, the default "Stream on Spotify" can be changed to "Listen Now on Spotify," and the default description "Opens in the Spotify app" can be changed to something like "Click to Save It." The same customization is available for Apple Music and YouTube buttons, with a live preview shown throughout.

Step 6: Meta Pixel Integration (Optional)
Before finishing, users can optionally add a Meta Pixel ID to the landing page. This allows the page to fire standard events for Meta advertising campaigns, including PageView, ViewContent, and button-click events for Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube
Final Step: Full Preview and Launch
The last step displays the complete, final version of the landing page. Users can navigate freely between steps 2 through 6 without losing any progress made along the way. Once satisfied, the page can be launched and will immediately go live.
2.2 New Visual Design
Landing page buttons have been redesigned with a height of 60 pixels and a width of 80 percent of the page, along with a glow effect that matches each button's color theme, creating a more polished and modern appearance.
2.3 Customizable Artist Display Name
Artists can now set a custom display name that appears across their landing pages. This can be updated at any time under Settings, in the "Display Name" field. For example, an artist could change their displayed name from one name to another, and the change will automatically apply to landing pages created going forward.
*Please note that landing pages created before this change will retain their original display name and will not be updated retroactively.*
3. Analytics and Overview: Now Requires a Spotify Connection
Previously, the Analytics and Overview sections of the dashboard were accessible to all users, but they displayed no meaningful data unless a Spotify account had already been linked elsewhere.
This created significant confusion, as many artists opened these pages expecting insights and found them empty.
To resolve this, Escalium now requires users to connect their Spotify account before accessing either page.
When a user clicks on Analytics or Overview without a connected account, a popup now appears prompting them to "Connect your Spotify account," with the option to either Connect or Go Back.

Connecting an account is a simple process:
Users log into Spotify and link their official artist profile.
Once connected, both the Analytics and Overview pages display detailed insights, including the following:
monthly listeners, streams, all-time streams, playlist reach, number of playlists featuring the artist, revenue, top cities, Spotify popularity score, and top tracks by all-time streams
4. Meta Campaigns: Temporarily Hidden
Escalium was built with Meta advertising at its core, and our campaign management tools have historically run large advertising budgets successfully on behalf of our artists. For the time being, however, the Campaigns section has been temporarily hidden from the dashboard.
This is a temporary measure while Escalium awaits Meta Business verification and app review approval.
Until this process is complete, users would be unable to log in with their Facebook account to use the feature regardless of whether it appeared in the dashboard. Campaigns will be reinstated and made available to all users as soon as this verification is complete. This remains one of our most important long-term products, and our team is working actively to bring it back online as quickly as possible.
5. Community and Referrals
5.1 Artist Community
A new Community page has been added, giving artists the ability to join an official Escalium artist community on WhatsApp. Two separate groups are currently available based on the language selected in a user's account: users with their language set to English are added to the English-speaking community, while users with their language set to Spanish are added to the Spanish-speaking community.
5.2 Referral Program Improvements
The referral system itself has not changed in structure: every user can still earn a 20 percent lifetime commission on every client who pays for Escalium on a monthly basis, with a minimum payout of $50 and a 12-month cookie duration.
What has changed is the affiliate application experience. The form for applying to become an Escalium affiliate has been redesigned to be clearer, simpler, and easier to complete.
6. Plans, Billing, and Subscription Management
6.1 Upgrade Your Plan
The "Upgrade Your Plan" section has been restructured to focus exclusively on upgrading a subscription. Downgrading is no longer handled here and is now managed separately under Settings.
This section now reflects Escalium's current plan structure accurately. Campaign-related features, previously mentioned as "coming soon," have been removed from plan descriptions until the Campaigns feature officially relaunches. Users can also view their current plan, the number of landing pages created, and the number of videos produced during the current month.

6.2 Yearly Billing Bug Fixed
We want to be transparent about a significant issue that previously affected billing.
Escalium offers four subscription plans, each available on a monthly or yearly basis. Due to a configuration error, users attempting to upgrade to a yearly plan were incorrectly redirected to the same Stripe product used for monthly billing, meaning the yearly discount was never actually applied.
We sincerely apologize for this error. It has since been identified and fully resolved. Yearly plans are now correctly configured and include the equivalent of two months free compared to paying monthly.
6.3 Settings and Subscription Management
Most areas of the Settings page remain unchanged, aside from the addition of the artist display name field described earlier. Meta Ads and TikTok Ads options are now visible within Settings, marked as "coming soon."
Subscription management has also moved into Settings. From "Manage Subscription," users are guided through a simple three-step process. Requesting an invoice currently requires contacting Escalium support directly. Managing an active subscription allows users to either cancel their current subscription or downgrade to a different plan, such as switching from Artist or Label down to the Creator plan.
Looking Ahead
Every change outlined in this article reflects our ongoing commitment to building Escalium.io into the most complete and reliable music marketing platform available to independent artists, producers, and labels worldwide. We are aware that some of these changes address mistakes on our part, and we appreciate the patience of our community as we work to correct them.
Further updates are already in progress, including additional improvements to the Creative Studio in the near future. We will continue to publish articles like this one to keep our community informed as new features and fixes are released.
